| My graduate research focused on the ecophysiology of Cynara cardunculus invasion into California grasslands. I focused primarily on seedling ecology and physiology. The end goal was to provide usable information to land managers to assist in controlling the spread of Cynara cardunculus. |

| My postdoctoral research has focused on both Cynara cardunculus and Arundo donax. I am researching the juvenile and adult stages of Cynara cardunculus in order to develop management tools to predict optimal control timing. Additionally, I am researching control techniques for Arundo donax and restoration techniques for native species in Southern California riparian ecosystems. |
