RESEARCH INTERESTS:
I am broadly interested in understanding the factors that
shape observed life histories of organisms. My previous research has focused on
understanding how broad patterns of adult and juvenile mortality influence
clutch size, egg mass and parental
care in passerine birds. Currently, I am
working on understanding how density-dependent regulation and indirect effects
of
mortality influence the predicted directions of change in the timing and
extent of reproduction in response to changes in
mortality. To answer these
questions I am conducting field and mescosm
experiments using the Trinidadian Guppy system
on the island of Trinidad, West Indes.
