History of Thunder Soccer





The Thunder Soccer Club was Originally based out of Simi Valley, California. Palmdale Thunder founder, Art Gomez, was one of the original Simi Valley Thunder players in 1983. After several career-breaking injuries, Gomez relocated to Palmdale, California in 1993. In Palmdale, Gomez began training a group of boys in the game of soccer. He taught them his system of play, which is utilized by every Thunder team to this day. After his team of boys won their first major tournament, Palmdale Soccer was born.





The Thunder colors were originally black and red, however, they were changed to navy blue and white shortly after the Palmdale club was established. The club's official sponsor is Adidas&trademark;. The crest of Thunder Soccer was established in 1995 after the colors were chosen. The colors, crest, and sponsor will remain proud symbols of the club.
